Lenovo is preparing to release a new Android tablet soon that will reportedly be under the codename Malibu, and is suspected to be the latest version of the Idea Tab, following the release of one of its most recent tablets, the Legion Tab Gen 5. Not much is known about the tablet in terms of actual specifications, but some details could possibly be discerned by looking at the tablet’s design. Lenovo has not yet confirmed the launch of this tablet through an official announcement.

However, several images have leaked that showcase the new tablet’s design. From this, you can see what the tablet looks like and make some assumptions about what will be offered based on those leaked images. For example, the new Idea Tab will seemingly come in two different models.

It will also be available in several color options across both models. So it seems that Lenovo is looking to give consumers quite a bit of choice here. The Lenovo Idea Tab (Malibu) will come in five finishes and two models While it’s very possible that Lenovo will have more than two models and five colors, leaked images of the tablet’s design points to those being the offerings at launch.

Digital Citizen reports that they have received several images of the unreleased tablet. In those images, there are two separate, slightly different designs for the tablet. There are also five different finishes across those two models.

Though, really it’s just three finishes since two of them are the same across both model models. When it comes design changes, the Malibu tablet has an almost identical look aside from one key element: The camera module. On one of the tablet’s the camera module is one long bar that goes across the entire length of the tablet, not too unlike that of the more recent Pixel phones.

On the other model, it’s a much smaller pill-shaped module that sticks to one side. As for the finishes, the new tablet will come in a light blue and darker gray in both models. There will also be a yellow finish in the model with the smaller camera housing.
