Leslieville Antique Days returns for 49th year Published 2:45 pm Thursday, July 16, 2026 The Central Alberta Antique and Model Club is gearing up to host the 49th annual Leslieville Antique Days, set to run over the August long weekend (Aug. 1-3). Admission is $10 per day, with kids 12 and under admitted for free.

Weekend camping is also available for $10 per night (plus the admission fee). There will be loads of things to enjoy from parade and tractor pulls daily, a petting zoo, threshing, lumber milling, and a blacksmith shop, to historical displays, vintage cars, a vendors market, all-day concessions, and of course their famous homemade cinnamon buns, said event organizer Vern Mosset, adding that around 3,000 people come through over the weekend each year. Saturday and Sunday start off with a pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and there will also be an outdoor church service on Sunday at 10 a.m.

It’s all taking place on the Leslieville Antique Club grounds located two miles east and a quarter of a mile south of Leslieville on Range Road 4-5 and blue sign 394019. Mosset said that the club first became a society back in 1976, and then the first antique show was held in 1977. He said that club members get together about eight times per year for regular meetings, with a few directors’ meetings occasionally as well.

“We are always looking for volunteers, too,” he added of antique days, plus of course new members are certainly welcome to join the club as well. On another note, the club is also in the process of restoring a massive engine that used to power a mine in the 1930s, and 40s. One part of the Keighly engine alone weighs 18,000 lbs.

The first part of the engine was delivered to the club in mid-June. Club members are restoring it piece by piece, and plan to have it operational and in working order within two years. Mosset said the plan is to build an addition on their building on the grounds to eventually house the engine.
