Gold slides as U.S.-Iran conflict lifts oil, hawkish Fed bets grow DENVER - Lumen Technologies (NYSE:LUMN) announced today the launch of Lumen Defender Advanced Managed Detection and Response (AMDR) for Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSIAM, according to a press release statement. The telecommunications and cybersecurity company, with a market capitalization of $6.93 billion, generated $12.12 billion in revenue over the last twelve months as of Q1 2026. The service combines Lumen’s managed detection and response capabilities with threat intelligence from its Black Lotus Labs research unit and Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex XSIAM platform.
The integration aims to help enterprises address security operations challenges including alert volume and threat detection speed. The strategic move comes as Lumen trades above its InvestingPro Fair Value, placing it among overvalued stocks despite delivering a 50.56% return over the past year. According to InvestingPro Tips, the stock has shown high volatility, with analysts projecting a potential 26% upside to their target price.
The solution incorporates threat intelligence derived from activity observed across Lumen’s network infrastructure. Black Lotus Labs provides network-level visibility designed to detect pre-compromise activity such as reconnaissance or staging before attacks reach customer environments, according to the company. "Cyber defense is a speed game, and the network is where threats often show up first," said Jim Fowler, Lumen’s Chief Technology and Product Officer.
"With Palo Alto Networks, we’re again raising the bar for security by expanding access to our high-value network threat intelligence and putting it to work through modern, automated operations." The service operates within Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex XSIAM platform and supports both co-managed and fully managed security operations center models. Features include alert grouping, threat scoping capabilities, and automated investigation and response functions.
"Combining Lumen’s network-level threat intelligence with Cortex XSIAM empowers organizations to proactively defend against sophisticated threats at machine-speed and scale their security operations," said Simone Gammeri, Chief Partnership Officer at Palo Alto Networks. The offering is part of Lumen’s strategy to integrate its network infrastructure with partner technology platforms. Black Lotus Labs’ threat research is used by government agencies and industry partners, according to the company.
