Metro Vancouver filming locations: 2 series filming scenes, including modern 'Bonnie and Clyde'

You could stumble onto a set in a couple of different places this week.

A show described as a modern Bonnie and Clyde story will film scenes in Metro Vancouver this week. The Hulu series, Durango, follows "homeschooled runaway" Bunny working as a server, and Mikey, "a ski bum townie," who fall in love and make myriad bad decisions leading to a life of crime, according to Deadline. The show stars Kathryn Newton (Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, Abigail) as Bunny and Cooper Hoffman as Mikey (Poetic License, The Long Walk).

It's written by Eliza Clark, who helped develop the comic book adaptation of FX’s Y: The Last Man for Hulu. Filming for the show will take place the Hawthorne Bar & Grill at 5633 176 St. in Surrey, according by Cloverdale Business Improvement Association executive director Paul Orazietti (see gallery above for more info).The letter highlights that people should "expect more activity in the area" and that street parking is limited. But people can still walk into the area, and they may encounter "a little extra excitement."

"We apologize for any inconvenience created. There are still a number of city surface parking lots in the area," he writes about the film project. Production company Stage 49 Ltd. started filming on July 6 and will wrap filming in the region on July 23, according to Creative BC.

Metro Vancouver filming locations: Another production underway Hollywood North typically has numerous productions underway at any given time. If you live in or are visiting Fort Langley, another resident notification letter was posted about filming this week. Water Tower Productions is filming the first season of The Probability of Miracles from Monday through Friday at 1 a.m.

Filming includes a driving scene on Mavis Avenue between River and Glover roads. There will also be set dressing outside 23343 Mavis Ave., where they will film interior and exterior dialogue scenes. Wendy Wunder's young adult fiction is being adapted into an eight-part series about Campbell Cooper, a teenager dying of cancer who, after receiving her diagnosis, moves with her mother and sister to a town called Promise.

The town is alleged to be a place where miracles occur, but Campbell doesn't really believe in them. But, as cinema magic often has it, they begin to come true, including unexpected love, according to Deadline. The show stars Henry Eikenberry (Euphoria, American Horror Stories), Melissa Collazo (One of Us Is Lying, Motorheads) and Ginnifer Goodwin (He's Just Not That Into You, Big Love).

Water Tower Production Services Inc. started filming on June 25 and will continue through Oct. 7.
