Mikaela Ariar, Philippine Canadian Inquirer July 13, 2026 BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA – Multicultural Inclusion for Neurodiversity and Development Society (MINDS BC) commences as a nonprofit organization to support neurodiverse people and multicultural families across the province. They aim to empower the youth, adults, families, and caregivers impacted by autism and capacity-building needs through inclusive activities, knowledge, advocacy, assets, and meaningful connections. Among the distinguished guests at the launch were Don McKenzie, representing the Indigenous Peoples of British Columbia; Chapron Harris of the Consulate General of Indonesia; Violet Chan, President of the British Columbia Cultural Diversity Association; Richard Lee, Sitting Councilor of the City of Burnaby; Hon.

Natanipa Burusapat of the Royal Thai Consulate General; Marissa Pena of the Pena Family Foundation; Vice Consul Frederick Marco Harder of the Philippine Consulate General; and Susan Au-Young, President of the North American Association of Asian Professionals. Through initiatives, MINDS BC aspires to foster inclusion, awareness, accessibility, and solid support systems for neurodiverse individuals and families throughout British Columbia.
