OPPO has just confirmed a rather major shift for realme, following the news about OnePlus’ presence in the US and Europe. Those of you who were worried about realme leaving global markets, well... there’s nothing to worry about in that regard. realme will “focus on overseas markets”

In fact, OPPO just announced that realme will “focus on overseas markets,” but it will no longer launch new products in China. OnePlus’ product roadmap in China, however, remains unchanged; things will proceed as planned. OPPO also said that both realme and OnePlus “will continue to deliver premium gaming and performance experiences to users.”

The thing is, OnePlus will do so in markets that are not the US and Europe, and realme will keep its presence in “overseas markets.” We were expecting such major shifts for the two companies following the news that OnePlus and realme merged their product divisions. OPPO has been making some major changes internally, and this is the result of it.

A lot of details are still missing The details are still missing here, though. While OPPO did confirm that realme will focus on overseas markets, we still don’t know what exactly that means. More specifics regarding markets and the company’s presence would be welcomed; that’s for sure.

This is all the information that we have for now, however, and it’ll have to do. OPPO seemingly chose completely opposite roles for OnePlus and realme. It’s sad to see OnePlus go from the US and Europe, but we’re hoping that OPPO will increase its presence in at least one of those two markets.

OPPO is already present in Europe, quite a bit, but it’s still not at the level that it should be. OPPO is still considerably less well-known than OnePlus in many European markets. We’re not sure what the company will do about the US, though, that’s still a mystery.
