A Petawawa resident is $100,000 richer thanks to a lucky lottery win that came on her 37th wedding anniversary.

A Petawawa resident is $100,000 richer thanks to a lucky lottery win that came on her 37th wedding anniversary. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) said in a news release that Cathy D. matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the June 10, 2026, Lotto 6/49 draw to win the prize. The mother of five and grandmother of 14 described her win as “amazing and overwhelming” in a news release.

“When I first checked my ticket using the OLG app on my phone, I didn’t believe it. I thought the app was broken,” she said. The winning ticket was purchased at Becker’s on Petawawa Boulevard in Petawawa.
