Police believe prior Amber Alert subjects may be in Okanagan Cops still searching for kids Police believe four people who were the subject of an Amber Alert out of Alberta last week may be in the Okanagan. The Amber Alert was issued last Thursday after police said six-year-old Lanakai Morrison was taken from his home north of Grande Prairie, Alta. by his mother Krista Morrison and her partner Daniel Ludwig.

The Amber Alert was cancelled on Saturday, but police are still looking for Krista, Daniel and Lanakai, along with Daniel's child, four-year-old Karl Morrison. “There was indication they were in B.C in the Okanagan Valley near Vernon, possibly travelling east towards the Kootenays,” Cpl. Gina Slaney of the Alberta RCMP said in a press release.

“They are very mobile and could be in Northern B.C., the Yukon or Alberta.” They were last believed to be driving a red, lifted 2006 Ford F-350, or possibly a motorhome. Cpl.

Slaney says both Krista Morrison and Daniel Ludwig are wanted by police for “abduction in contravention of a custody/parenting order.” Police have asked anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact the Beaverlodge RCMP at 780-354-2955, or anonymously through CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
