A search operation concluded its second day Monday as local authorities continued efforts to locate a man who went missing in the St. Lawrence River in Old Montreal on Sunday evening.

A search operation concluded its second day Monday as local authorities continued efforts to locate a man who went missing in the St. Lawrence River in Old Montreal on Sunday evening. Montreal police told CTV News they have not determined whether the man jumped or fell into the river, as witnesses have provided differing accounts. Police launched a search by boat and along the shoreline after receiving calls at about 6 p.m. Sunday.

The search continued throughout Monday before concluding late in the afternoon. Police said they will reassess Tuesday morning to determine whether the search will resume.
