Richmond Pride Week features 20 events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
Following the repaint of the rainbow crosswalk on Minoru Boulevard this year, the Richmond community will celebrate another Pride Week with various events. The activities include the art exhibition, film screenings, craft workshops (rainbow necklace, tie-dye and painted rock), jazz dancing, Zumba classes and storytelling sessions led by LGBTQ+ community members. Under this year’s theme, ‘Pride in Momentum,’ the events are organized by the City of Richmond with support from community organizations, societies and the Richmond Public Library.
Half of the events are drop-in, while the other require registration. Several have only a limited number of remaining spots. Early registration is encouraged for the following eight free events.
