Source One Plastics begins phased sorting, recycling restart after fire

Source One Plastics is restarting its sorting and recycling plant in Eicklingen, Germany, nearly six months after a fire caused extensive damage to part of the facility. The flake sorting section returned to operation on 8 July, with the upstream sorting and processing area expected to resume partial operations in September. The company plans to restore full operation by November 2026. Reconstruction costs are estimated at around €20 million.
