Spot fire sparks east of Oyama Lake Published 3:26 pm Sunday, July 12, 2026 UPDATE: 3:40 p.m. The spot fire near Oyama Lake has grown and is now listed at 0.2 hectares in size as of 3:32 p.m. on Sunday July 19. —— A small wildfire has been detected at Park Lakes near Oyama.

BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) reported the blaze at 3:10 p.m. on Sunday, July 12. The fire is currently only 0.009 hectares in size but is classified as out-of-control. BCWS is investigating the cause of the blaze.
