Conservative Leader Pierre Polievre announced the Affordability Team, whose three priorities are all affordability. “Yes, we will fight for national unity.

We will fight for better health care. We will fight against tariffs, crime and corruption. But all of those problems are made worse by Liberal recessions and Liberal inflation.

Following the latest shuffle, she is now the “Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, with responsibility for the Alberta MOU, Pipeline and Pathways Project.” Stubbs is the vice-chair of the Natural Resources Committee and a member of the special joint committee on the exercise of Powers under the Building Canada act. In an e-mailed statement, Stubbs said it is more urgent than ever to get major infrastructure built in Canada.

“Transportation and critical infrastructure are the nation-building arteries of Canada’s economy. Canada has all the potential in the world. The people, resources, and ingenuity to lead, but government must focus on results and outcomes, not announcements and photo ops,” said Stubbs.

“I will continue to fight to repeal and reform anti-development Liberal laws, respect provincial jurisdiction, cut red tape, axe the federal industrial carbon tax, lower taxes overall, speed up approvals, and restore private-sector certainty and confidence so major infrastructure can get built efficiently and cost-effectively for the benefit of all Canadians,” said Stubbs. Goodridge previously served as the shadow minister of Addictions. She has been moved to the Families, Children, and Social Development portfolio.

In an e-mailed statement, Goodridge said she is excited to continue to stand up for Canadians. “We will keep fighting against inflationary deficit spending and high taxes that drive up the cost of gas, food and transportation,” said Goodridge. She said in addition to affordability, she plans to use the role to advocate for safer communities “where families and children can live, work, play and thrive” and support families through “practical, common-sense policies that strengthen parents, protect vulnerable Canadians, and create opportunities for the next generation.”

Goodridge also sits as a member on the Status of Women committee and the “Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities” committee.
