Suspect charged after 11 vehicles damaged with hammer in Victoria parkade Published 4:35 pm Friday, July 17, 2026 A suspect is facing multiple criminal charges after police say a number of vehicles were damaged in a residential parkade in downtown Victoria. Victoria Police officers responded to the 1200 block of Yates Street at about 4 a.m. on Saturday (July 11) after receiving reports of a person damaging vehicles with a hammer.

Police said officers located the suspect nearby and made an arrest. The accused has been charged with one count of break and enter, one count of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of stolen property, one count of breach of probation and 11 counts of mischief. The suspect appeared at a bail hearing on Sunday (July 12), where they were remanded in custody.

They are scheduled to appear in court again on July 21.
