Home » Temporary closure of Elkford Aquatic Centre As part of the Elkford Aquatic Centre’s annual maintenance shutdown, staff identified repairs that are required to the main pool before the facility can safely reopen. To allow this work to be completed properly, the Elkford Aquatic Centre will remain closed until further notice. While this closure was not anticipated, addressing these repairs now will help protect the long-term condition of the facility and ensure a safe environment for patrons and staff.

Unfortunately, summer swimming lessons, Bronze courses and the Lifeguarding course will not proceed as scheduled. All registered participants will receive a full refund. The Stay Safe! and Babysitting courses will continue as planned.

District staff are working with contractors and technical specialists to determine the repair schedule and next steps. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available. For the most current updates visit the District of Elkford website.
