NEWS RELEASE ROTARY CLUB OF SAULT STE. MARIE ************************* ROTARYFEST is a few days away! Here is everything you need to know about what’s happening in Clergue Park Thursday, July 16 to Saturday, July 18.

This year’s festival features three stages of live music across the weekend, all completely free. Stage 1 presented by OLG returns to Clergue Park with three nights of non-stop live music featuring genres like rock, jazz, blues, country, funk, and more. SooToday Stage Two will host Friday Night Blues and then showcase original music from local artists on Saturday.

Stage 3 presented by BMI Group returns to the Sault Downtown Plaza on Friday with a lineup of local EDM and electronic artists. ROTARYFEST offers something for the whole family. The Tenaris PlayZone returns with face painting, pony rides, and practice archery.

Along with free activities, crafts, and games. The GFL Environmental Inflatable Park will feature free obstacle courses and giant slides. The Toddler Zone presented by Enbridge will have tot-appropriate activities and a shade area.

Local and travelling vendors will be set up all three days along Ken Danby Way and the Hub Trail. The Algoma Makers Market presented by Hydro One returns on Saturday in the Bay Street Active Living Centre Parking Lot with over 60 vendors. Ribfest returns with fall-off-the-bone delicious ribs, BBQ chicken, pulled pork, and more from Billy Bones, Ribs Royale, and Blazin’ BBQ.

Festival goers can also enjoy the Rotary Food Court offering a variety of food such as pizza, burgers, hot dogs, sausages, perogies, raviolis, ice cream, and more in support of Rotary youth projects. Northern Superior Brewing Co. will be servicing two licensed areas on the grounds. The beloved Rotary Community Day Parade presented by Brookfield Renewable will blast off down Bay Street on July 18 at 11 a.m.

A sensory-friendly block will once again be designated between Ron Francis Way and Dennis Street for those who require a quieter experience. Just ahead of the parade, the Miracle Mile Colour Blast presented by YNCU invites participants of all ages and abilities to run, walk, or roll from the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre through bright colour stations to the GFL Memorial Gardens for the Final Blast. The event begins at 10:30am and is a fundraiser for Rotary youth projects.

The Wheels On The Water Car Show is back at the Canal District. The community is invited to enjoy the show from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and vote for their favourite vehicle. Participation in the event is $20/vehicle in support of Rotary, and registration will open at 11 a.m.

Five category winners will receive a prize package of over $300 in value. ROTARYFEST, The Sault’s Summer Festival, is organized by the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie and has been a cornerstone of the community for over a century.
