West Kelowna issues water quality advisory to South Boucherie neighbourhoods Published 1:13 pm Tuesday, July 14, 2026 A vehicle incident has caused a break in a West Kelowna watermain. The City of West Kelowna said the incident happened in the early morning of Tuesday, July 14.

As a result of the incident, a watermain was damaged in the Rose Valley Water Service area. “The incident resulted in a significant loss of water and pressure,” the City said. A map supplied by the City of West Kelowna shows that the water quality advisory is now in place in the South Boucherie neighbourhood, bordering Westbank First Nation.

The advisory is only in place for specific neighbourhoods, and does not related to the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant. “While the water remains safe for most uses, Interior Health recommends that children, the elderly, people with weakened immune systems and anyone wishing to reduce their risk should use boiled water or an alternate safe drinking water
