The XTEINK X4 Pro will be announced on July 21st, and it is a pocket-sized 4.3-inch E-Ink e-reader priced around $99 USD. The post XTEINK X4 Pro e-reader will be released soon first appeared on Good e-Reader .

The XTEINK X4 Pro (also known as the X4P or X4 Pro V2) will be announced next week. It is a pocket-sized 4.3-inch E-Ink e-reader priced around $99 USD. Designed as a premium alternative to the original minimalist XTEINK X4, it introduces highly requested modern features while maintaining its ultra-portable, distraction-free entity.

The X4 Pro will feature a 4.3-inch E-Ink touchscreen with a resolution of 220 PPI. The lighting system is the most anticipated upgrade. It allows you to read comfortably in the dark or in low-light environments without needing a separate clip-on reading lamp.

Despite adding layers for the light and touch sensors, the Pro model measures an incredibly slim 5.98mm, making it slightly thinner than the original X4’s 6.4mm. It retains its physical page-turn buttons alongside the new touchscreen, giving you tactile control when flipping pages. There will be 16 GB of fixed internal memory for reading e-books, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

It is powered by a 1,000 mAh battery. A notable change that has divided the community is the removal of the standard USB-C port. To achieve its ultra-thin profile, the X4 Pro relies on a magnetic pogo-pin contact system for charging and data transfer.

A “USB-C to pogo” converter dongle is included in the box to ensure you can still connect it to standard cables. The X4 Pro is said to have a substantial built-in library, along with cloud sync and a small in-house bookstore. It reads standard distraction-free formats like EPUB and TXT, allowing books to be sideloaded via an expandable micro SD card, Wi-Fi transfer, or the companion app.
