Young builders invited to join Building Bricks Creator Club this summer in Sterling

Youths with a passion for creativity, engineering and hands-on learning are invited to participate in the Building Bricks Creator Club, an exciting summer program designed to encourage imagination, problem-solving, and teamwork through brick-building activities.

Youths with a passion for creativity, engineering and hands-on learning are invited to participate in the Building Bricks Creator Club, an exciting summer program designed to encourage imagination, problem-solving, and teamwork through brick-building activities. The program will be held at the Whiteside County Extension Office, located at 12923 Lawrence Road in Sterling, on July 27, 28, and 29, and Aug. 3, 4, and 5. Two age-specific sessions will be offered: - Ages 8-12: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. - Ages 5-7: 3 to 4 p.m. Participants will have opportunities to explore design concepts, tackle building challenges, and create unique projects while developing valuable STEM-related skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Building Bricks Creator Club provides a welcoming setting where youths can experiment, collaborate with peers, and bring their ideas to life one brick at a time. Activities are designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and confidence while encouraging participants to learn through play. Whether constructing imaginative creations or solving engineering-inspired challenges, young builders will gain hands-on experience that promotes innovation and teamwork.

The cost to participate is $20 for each youth. Registration is available online at go.illinois.edu/sterlingBB. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
