BCPost aims to publish accurate, clear and useful journalism about British Columbia.
Accuracy and verification
Claims should be supported by identifiable reporting, documents, public records or direct attribution. Unverified claims, sensitive allegations and stories with unresolved quality concerns require editorial review before publication.
Independence and fairness
News coverage should distinguish fact from analysis, represent material context, and give people or organizations facing significant criticism a reasonable opportunity to respond when appropriate.
Attribution and original work
BCPost articles should make clear where information originated. Source links and attribution are retained when required. Publisher material is not presented as original BCPost reporting.
Responsible use of automation
Automated tools may assist private newsroom workflows, but they do not replace publication standards. Public reader requests never trigger automated article generation. Sensitive or uncertain work remains subject to human review.
Corrections
Substantive errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. Readers can report a possible error through the contact page.
