Police in Surrey have released photos of a pair of suspects as they investigate a mischief spree that left nine vehicles damaged in a Newton neighbourhood early Wednesday morning.

Police in Surrey have released photos of a pair of suspects as they investigate a mischief spree that left nine vehicles damaged in a Newton neighbourhood early Wednesday morning. The Surrey Police Service said officers were called after two suspects were seen smashing parked vehicles’ windows near 75 Avenue and 147A Street at approximately 5 a.m. Once police arrived on scene, the suspects had fled the area.

“In total, nine vehicles sustained glass damage to front, rear, and side windows,” the SPS said in a statement Thursday. “SPS investigators have obtained CCTV footage and are hoping that the release of still images will assist in the identification of the suspects.” Police said both suspects appear to be males with slim builds and were wearing dark clothing.

The pair also reportedly used clubs or bats to damage the vehicles. Anyone who recognizes them or has dash-cam video of the area is asked to call the SPS at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 26-73430 (SP).
