“Hosting the festival in July reflects the community’s unique history and origins as a march protesting harassment and discrimination.” The municipality is encouraging residents and visitors to participate in festival events such as a flag raising at Grand Parade, the Halifax Pride Parade, and Exploring Pride Week events at the Halifax Public Libraries.
