Dear Editor, On behalf of the Pontiac Arena Fund, we would like to provide our community with an update on the work underway to secure the future of our arena. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, every dollar raised to date has been used to move this project forward and positioning our arena to access significant government funding opportunities. Working alongside the Pontiac Agricultural Society, the Pontiac Arena Fund has supported the development of a funding application to the Quebec Ministry of Education through the Programme d’aide financière aux infrastructures récréatives, sportives et de plein air (PAFIRSPA).

An application has been submitted by the Pontiac Agricultural Society, with the support and backing of the Pontiac Arena Fund. The application focuses on improving accessibility and increasing energy efficiency to help ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and sustainable for years to come. The Pontiac Arena Fund is also in the process of obtaining official registered charitable status through the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Once approved, this designation will allow us to issue official tax receipts for eligible donations, strengthen our fundraising efforts, and pursue additional funding opportunities that support the long-term future of the arena and our community. If you have questions about the project or would like to learn more about our efforts, we encourage you to reach out to the Pontiac Arena Fund. We sincerely thank everyone who has donated, volunteered, attended our events, and supported the Pontiac Arena Fund.

Your generosity and confidence in this project continue to move it forward, and together we can help ensure that our arena remains a vital part of our community for generations to come. Mike Rusenstrom President, Pontiac Arena Fund The post Arena Fund update appeared first on The Equity .
