As Walter White would say, “¡Tienes toda la maldita razón!”

On tap Boomtown/Bruja Tajin Lime Cerveza Their words “A Mexican-style lager spiced up with a subtle amount of Tajin, as well as hand-zested & juiced limes that ‘Tastes like another.’” Taste Test It’s addictive. Not beer—that’s not an addiction as much as necessity.
Never mind what the doctor tells you—the liver is indeed evil, and it must be punished. The endlessly addictive substance in question is Tajin—part sea salt, part mix of árbol, guajillo, and pasilla chili peppers, and part dehydrated lime. Once you discover it’s magic, it will become the only thing you’ll put on your sunny-side-up eggs, corn on the cob, rib eye steak, and braised crickets.
Forget a standard salt rim on your tamarind and passionfruit Margarita, it’s Tajin or die. It’s the lime—hand-zested and squeezed—that’s front and centre in Boomtown/Bruja Tajin Lime Cerveza, with the classic Mexican-style lager snappy and light, coming in at a beach-day friendly 4.4 percent abv. But instead of being relegated to the back seat, the Tajin is totally riding shotgun, which means a bonus sweet and sour kick, not to mention your daily salt intake requirement.
Tastes like another? As sure as every trip to Mexico leads to at least one catastrophic devil’s itch sunburn, and a grim reminder some tap water isn’t meant to be drunk straight from the source, As Walter White would say, “¡Tienes toda la maldita razón!”. Uno mas, por favor.
Quizás dos. Deep thoughts While acknowledging his continued existence not only on stage but on planet Earth is problematic for some people, there is no greater modern comic than Louis C.K, who for bonus purposes here, is part Mexican. His closest and only rival might be Bill Burr, whose observations on the haircut styles women start getting in their 40s and 50s is every bit as epic as C.K.’s confession that he’s started hating people.
On the latter front, ever feel like someone has been mining your brain for material? Making one wonder what kind of OnlyFans accounts he subscribes to—based on some simple YouTube sleuthing, there’s a whole disturbing world once you get past Sophie Rain—one of C.K.’s most twisted standup bits involving chasing the dragon. Never mind that the elusive dragon is tied into a porn clip titled “Nice Girl Farts In Your Face”—the point is that once something hits for you, you spend forever trying to recapture the thrill.
And it’s never quite the same. On that front, flash back a number of years to a stay on Isla Mujeres in Mexico, and the discovery of sold-in-six-packs Sol Chelada Limón y Sal. Fucking heavenly—and crazily exotic considering this was before the global craft-beer boom made lime lagers every bit as commonplace as prairie oyster stouts and gooseberry lambics.
Even though the fine folks of Parallel 49, La Cervecería Astilleros, and [insert your favourite local brewery here] have come close, no one on this side of the border has ever hit the salt and lime ratio perfect until now. Yes, Boomtown/Bruja Tajin Lime Cerveza is that mind-bendingly good. The dragon has now been caught.
