Source York Regional Police have charged a 31-year-old Brampton man with eight offences in connection with an ongoing human-trafficking investigation in Vaughan. In July, officers were conducting a proactive human-trafficking probe at a hotel in the area of Applewood Cres. and Portage Pkwy. when they identified a victim alleged to be a child in need of protection. Through the investigation, police alleged that the victim, who was under the age of 18, was being trafficked for sexual services.
