A Huge Milestone for MIMESIS MIMESIS has reached a major milestone, with KRAFTON announcing that the AI-powered co-op horror game has now sold more than two million copies worldwide during its Early Access period on Steam. The achievement comes shortly after the game’s major content update and its recent recognition at the CEDEC Awards 2026. Developed by ReLU Games, MIMESIS is a four-player cooperative psychological horror experience where players must work together to escape a world devastated by a mysterious rain that transforms people into terrifying creatures known as Mimesis.

As players gather resources and keep their tram moving, they must also question whether one of their teammates has already been replaced. AI-powered enemies can imitate voices, behaviors, and even memories, creating constant tension and making trust one of the game’s biggest challenges. The game crossed one million copies sold within just 50 days of entering Early Access last October.

Following last month’s update, which introduced smarter enemy behavior and reworked progression and difficulty, MIMESIS doubled that figure to surpass two million copies sold worldwide. The game has also generated more than 10.33 million watch hours on streaming platforms, with a peak concurrent viewership of 3.8 million. MIMESIS also became the first Korean game to receive an Excellence Award for Game Design at the CEDEC Awards 2026 in Japan while earning a nomination for the category’s Grand Award.

“Reaching two million copies is thanks to the players who believed in the game and gave us such strong support,” said Min-jung Kim, CEO of ReLU Games. “ We’ll keep building on that momentum as MIMESIS grows.” With strong sales and continued updates planned, MIMESIS continues to build momentum as one of the most promising co-op horror games in Early Access.
