Cocktails at the Crib fundraiser returns July 18 to Sycamore

The DeKalb County History Center will host its fifth annual Cocktails at the Crib fundraiser for residents ages 21 and older to support the history center’s programs, events, exhibits, collection and preservation.

The DeKalb County History Center will host its fifth annual Cocktails at the Crib fundraiser for residents ages 21 and older to support the history center’s programs, events, exhibits, collection and preservation. The fundraiser will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. July 18 at the history center, 1730 N. Main St., Sycamore. Attendees can view the history center’s “We the People of DeKalb County” America250 exhibit.

The event also features lawn games, silent auctions, raffles and live entertainment. “This fundraiser truly highlights our beautiful campus,” DeKalb County History Center executive director Michelle Donahoe said in a news release. “We are very excited to offer so many unique experiences during this event, and we are looking forward to celebrating local history with the community who so generously supports our work.

We are especially excited to be able to celebrate this year with the expanded campus providing many opportunities for guests to experience the charm of this former farmstand alongside the modern facility that houses our archives and newest exhibit.” Mathey and Friends will perform. Commemorative “We the People of DeKalb County” cups are available.
