Damage caused after vehicle drives into Lac La Biche business

The incident at The Bargain Shop! occurred around 10:30 a.m. on the morning of July 15.

LAC LA BICHE - A vehicle drove through the front windows of The Bargain Shop! in Lac La Biche during the morning of July 15, causing extensive damage, and forcing the temporary closure of the business. According to Roberta McFarland, manager of The Bargain Shop!, the incident, which she says involved a motorist accidently driving into the front of the store, took place around 10:30 a.m.

While the damage was considerable, McFarland believes the store will be up and running by tomorrow. McFarland confirmed that RCMP arrived at the scene, and that nobody was hurt. “It’s just an unfortunate incident,” she said.

Workers were cleaning up shards of glass and other debris that resulted from the incident. Lakeland This Week will provide more information if it becomes available.
