Fake RCMP letters threatening public exposure circulating in West Shore Published 2:50 pm Wednesday, July 15, 2026 West Shore RCMP is alerting the public to fraudulent letters currently circulating that threaten recipients with criminal prosecution and public exposure if they do not pay a fine within 24 hours. The correspondence falsely claims to be issued by the National Cybercrime Coordination Centre and other organizations. It accuses recipients of serious criminal offences involving child sexual exploitation.
