The Christ Church Millarville Ladies Guild hosted its 62nd annual Millarville Flower Festival at the historic church on July 11. The event saw the church's grounds decorated in an abundance of flowers. Event goers also enjoyed an afternoon tea with scones and homemade strawberry jam.

This year, the ladies guild ran a project to clean up some of the church's gardens, including the prominent front garden which contains native Alberta plants and a metal sculpture of Christ done by Millarville artist Ross Weaver. The historic building turns 130 years old this year. On Sunday, July 12, a commemorative church service was held to celebrate the milestone.
