Grouse Mountain's Centennial Festival is packed with entertainment and anniversary offers

Drone light shows, live music, local food trucks and limited-time anniversary offers headline Grouse Mountain's Centennial Festival, running July 23 to Aug. 3.

For 100 years, Grouse Mountain has been part of what makes living on the North Shore so special. Generations have hiked its trails, hit the slopes, celebrated major milestones and escaped the city to connect with nature. This summer, the community is invited to join as Grouse Mountain marks a century of mountain memories with its biggest event of the year: the Grouse Mountain Centennial Festival.

Running from July 23 to Aug. 3, the festival features entertainment, experiences for all ages and exclusive limited-time offers on Annual Passes and select mountain adventures. Whether visiting for the first time or returning as a long-time passholder, guests can celebrate 100 years of history, community and adventure while looking ahead to the mountain’s next chapter. One of the festival's highly anticipated experiences is A Century of Stories, an original cinematic drone light show that transforms the night sky into a breathtaking tribute to the resort’s history.

Told from the perspective of the mountain itself, the immersive production combines synchronized drones, cinematic music and storytelling to honour the people, wildlife and innovation that have shaped the past 100 years. The show takes place July 23, 24, 25 and Aug. 2. Throughout the festival, additional activations and experiences are happening every day.

Live entertainment The Coors Light Presents: Music Loud, Mountains Blue concert series brings performances from Nearly Neil, local Neil Diamond cover band, on July 31 and Nautical Disaster, The Tragically Hip cover band, on Aug. 1. On Wednesdays and Fridays, enjoy Granville Island Brewing beer samples with live DJs at Mingler Wednesdays at Altitudes Bistro or live music at Après Bike Fridays at The Rusty Rail. Foodie experiences Local food trucks will be serving up festival favourites, chimney cakes and classic fair treats.

The Rusty Rail has introduced a new summer menu featuring smash burgers, Altitudes Bistro will offer fresh seasonal dishes and The Observatory has unveiled a new menu with Mountain Admission included for reservations after 4 p.m. (advance reservations required). Special events Fans of Grinder and Coola can celebrate the resident grizzly bears' 25th birthday during the annual Bear-thday Fun-draiser on July 25, supporting the Grizzly Bear Foundation. The popular Movies on the Mountain series also returns July 30 with a screening of Jurassic Park.

New attractions No visit would be complete without experiencing the mountain's newest attraction. The Grouse Gravity Coaster pairs high-speed thrills with world-class views as riders wind their way through the forest before emerging to spectacular panoramas overlooking Vancouver. Exclusive centennial offers Adventure seekers can take advantage of limited-time anniversary pricing on some of the mountain's most popular attractions, including five-line zipline tours for $100 and the Mountain Ropes Adventure for $50.

The celebration also brings one of the year’s best opportunities to become a passholder.
