Lake house concerts set to make waves in Coldstream Published 7:00 pm Sunday, July 12, 2026 The Mackie Lake House Foundation is inviting audiences back to the shores of Kalamalka Lake for its annual summer concert series, Music at Mackie. Set to the backdrop of the historic Mackie Lake House and its waterfront gardens, Music at Mackie brings concerts by celebrated touring artists to Vernon.

“Blending live music with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, Music at Mackie has become a summer tradition for locals and visitors alike. Coming to Music at Mackie is like coming home,” said Carla-Jean Stokes, Mackie Lake House manager. “Bring your lawn chair, grab an ice-cold drink and settle in for the best house concert of the summer.”

The 2026 lineup kicks off on Friday, July 24 with Victoria based indie-folk duo West My Friend. “Mingling grassroots guitar, accordion and flute with uplifting vocal harmonies, West My Friend has a sound that is as friendly as it is musically rich,” said Stokes On Friday, July 31, Moranz and Fremlin will preform on the lake house lawn. “Their music is high-energy, Canadian bluegrass with virtuosic picking and witty banter,” said Stokes.

West-Kelowna’s own Jodie B takes the stage on Thursday, Aug. 20. “Jodie B is a live looping artist whose blend of indie-folk and hip-hop is as genre defying as it is captivating, with soulful, electronic rhythms,” said Stokes. Tickets are $29 for each concert and are available at ticketseller.ca.

All proceeds are used to preserve and present Mackie Lake House and its collections. Seating is festival style on the lawn. Chairs are not provided, guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Gates open at 6 p.m. with music beginning at 6:30 p.m. Each show features a cash bar and concession.
