Crowds lined the streets to support 140 entries and hundreds of marchers

PHOTOS: More than 80K paint B.C.s capital all colours of the rainbow for Pride Published 9:45 am Monday, July 13, 2026 While people around the world adorned themselves in their national colours to support their World Cup teams over the past few weeks, residents of Victoria and beyond chose to drape themselves in rainbow colours to celebrate and support this year’s Pride parade. Held on the sunny morning of July 12, the parade drew more than 80,000 spectators to the streets of the capital city, where they cheered on more than 140 entries and hundreds of marchers along the 2.4-kilometre route.

Hosted by the Victoria Pride Society, the event kicked off shortly after 11 a.m. at the corner of Johnson and Government streets. Lasting just under two hours, the floats and participants made their way through downtown before finishing at MacDonald Park in James Bay. Following the parade, the Pride Festival took centre stage at the park, featuring music, live drag performances and more than 130 vendors.
