RCMP are investigating a reported shooting that happened Monday evening in North Preston. RCMP are investigating a reported shooting that happened Monday evening in North Preston. Police said they were called around 7:50 p.m. after a report that gunfire erupted from a white SUV near the intersection of Cain and Clarence streets in the community. Mounties say there have been no reported injuries from the shooting.

The criminal investigation branch is overseeing the file and is asking anyone with information to contact officers. This comes just a day after another shooting sent a man to hospital with serious wounds. On July 12, Halifax Regional Police responded to an area near the Dockyard for an injured man.
