An aircrew from CFB Trenton will be heading to Ottawa for an important ceremony on Friday. The RCAF will be conducting a flyby with a CC 130J Hercules aircraft on July 17th, 2026, for the Royal Canadian Legion 100th Anniversary. The local crew will fly the Herc over the National War Memorial at 11:11 A.M on Friday.

Flybys by RCAF aircraft are carefully planned and closely controlled for public safety and are dependent upon weather and flying conditions. The CC-130J Hercules is a four-engine, fixed-wing turboprop aircraft that is used for a wide range of missions, including personnel transport, search-and-rescue, tactical airlift and aircrew training. It is also used on special occasions including national ceremonies and also specific memorials for members of the Canadian Military.
