A large watermain break in central Scarborough has resulted in a significant amount of water flooding the roadway.

A large watermain break in central Scarborough has resulted in a significant amount of water flooding the roadway. The incident occurred in the driveway of one of the units at a townhouse complex at 75 Malvern St., which is near Sheppard Avenue East and Markham Road. Emergency crews are now responding to that area.

It is not known at this point how long it could take to resolve the issue and if the water is spreading into other nearby residences. More details to come. This is a developing story.
