Meet Bota From Sill Sticks SQOOL Co., Ltd. has announced that Sill Sticks, a new desktop companion app, will launch on Steam on July 20, 2026. Developed as a sister app to the popular Sill Cats, the new release introduces players to Bota, a laid-back stickman whose only real goal is to relax on your desktop while you work or play. Unlike the energetic cats from Sill Cats, Bota keeps a low profile and rarely gets in the way of your workflow.

Instead, he quietly lounges around the screen, occasionally talking to himself or starting a casual conversation with the user. His relaxed personality is designed to add a bit of charm to your desktop without becoming a distraction. Sill Sticks will be available as a free download at launch.

Players who want more customization options can also purchase optional DLC packs releasing on the same day. The Partner Pack, priced at $1.99 (¥265), adds a companion character for Bota, while the Dress Up Pack, priced at $0.99 (¥160), lets users change his colors and outfits. Both DLCs will be available at a 10% launch discount during the first 14 days after release.

SQOOL also confirmed that Sill Sticks will continue to receive regular updates after launch, much like its predecessor, bringing additional content and improvements over time. If you’re looking for a simple desktop companion with a relaxed personality, Sill Sticks looks set to offer a fun and lighthearted addition to your daily PC experience.
