The study also found that a majority of people would pursue an app, website or digital business idea if they possessed stronger technical skills. This represents a significant shift. Instead of viewing software creation as the exclusive domain of professional developers, many individuals now see AI as a bridge between ideas and execution.

One of the most interesting developments emerging from the AI ecosystem is the phenomenon known as vibe coding . The term refers to the process of creating applications, websites and automated workflows through conversational prompts rather than traditional programming. A user describes what they want, and the AI generates much of the necessary code.

The concept remains in its early stages, but its popularity has grown rapidly. The survey found that many respondents were familiar with the idea of vibe coding, although only a small proportion had actually tried it. This gap is revealing.

Awareness of the technology is spreading quickly, but practical adoption remains relatively limited. That pattern mirrors previous technological waves, where curiosity typically precedes widespread implementation. A skills gap, not an ideas gap One of the most striking findings concerns the relationship between creativity and technical capability.

The research indicates that many people already have ideas for apps, digital services or online businesses. The obstacle is not imagination, rather, it is confidence. Respondents frequently cited a lack of technical knowledge as the main barrier preventing them from turning concepts into reality.

That comparison may be optimistic, but there is no doubt that AI is reducing some traditional barriers. The survey findings suggest considerable enthusiasm. Many respondents expressed a desire to learn new technical skills, particularly those relating to artificial intelligence and automation. What remains uncertain is how quickly formal education, professional training providers and employers can respond.
