A crunk-inflected single, “Crash Out,” follows last month’s “Too Easy”

Tinashe has taken a break from smashing up cars in Silver Lake to officially announce her new album. Popstar includes last month’s “Too Easy,” as well as a new single, the crunk-inflected “Crash Out.” “The American dream is outdated,” Tinashe sing-raps on the track, “now they sitting on the internet hating.”

Popstar is out September 25 via Atlantic. Check out the cover art and listen to “Crash Out” below. Tinashe shared her last full-length LP, 333, in 2021.

She’s since followed it up with two shorter projects, 2023’s BB/Ang3l and 2024’s Quantum Baby, which featured the single “Nasty.” Read about Tinashe’s “Nasty” at No. 98 in The 100 Best Songs of the 2020s So Far.
