He was coming off a 15-point season (six goals, nine assists) for Djurgardens of the Swedish Hockey League. Bjorck also helped lead Sweden to world junior championship gold. The five-foot-nine, 180-pound centre had nine points (three goals, six assists) in seven games during the tournament.
