Over the weekend, we received multiple reports that the Xbox achievements system went down, but Microsoft has now confirmed the issue has been fixed.
From what we can tell, the outage began sometime on Sunday, with users reporting that they could not unlock achievements in a wide variety of games. However, Xbox engineering lead Eden Marie says that as of Monday morning, the issue has been fixed and that players should see achievements unlocking again. "Hey Xbox, if you had issues unlocking achievements in certain games this weekend, they should have started popping in the past couple hours," reads a post from Marie on X. https://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/176764.jpg
We're not exactly sure what caused the outage, and how widespread it was, but it's great to see Microsoft get on top of this so quickly. If you played a game over the weekend and are missing any achievements, hopefully you should see them unlock soon. Did you have any issues with achievements over the weekend?
Are you still waiting on some missing achievements to pop? Let us know where you are in the world and which games you were playing down in the comments below.
