One man died at the scene of a four-vehicle collision in Delta, B.C., Wednesday afternoon according to authorities, who said an additional five people were taken to hospital. Officers were called to the scene in the 9800 block of Ladner Trunk Road around 3 p.m., the Delta Police Department said in a statement. “Four vehicles were involved, with multiple occupants,” the statement said.
“Five people were transported to hospital with injuries. Sadly, despite the lifesaving efforts of first responders, one adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene.” The cause of the crash is under investigation and police said a lengthy road closure will be necessary while police are on scene.
