Carol Nguyen’s Still Night, Burning House set for Quebec premiere at Festival du nouveau cinéma

Carol Nguyen’s feature documentary debut, Still Night, Burning House, will receive its Quebec premiere in the national competition at the 2026 Festival du nouveau cinéma, according to a National Film Board news release.

The Festival du nouveau cinéma is scheduled to run in Montreal from October 8 to 18. The National Film Board said Nguyen will take part in an audience discussion after the screening.

The film is a co-production involving Metafilms, the National Film Board of Canada and Portage Films, the release said.

The National Film Board said Still Night, Burning House is expected to receive a theatrical release in spring 2027.
