The Competition Bureau Canada says it has reached a consent agreement with the Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers to address competition concerns about access to and use of real estate data in Quebec.

According to the Competition Bureau Canada backgrounder, the agreement has been registered with the Competition Tribunal, making it legally binding. It is to remain in force for 10 years.

The settlement requires QPAREB to implement a real estate data feed so that real estate data is broadly accessible to its members, the backgrounder says.

Separately, the Competition Bureau said it obtained an order under section 11 of the Competition Act on February 20, 2026, to obtain information from Greater Vancouver REALTORS®. The bureau said the order forms part of its ongoing investigation into rules governing real estate commissions in Canada.
