A Courtice man is smiling after winning $100,000 with Encore. Forrest S. matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order in the June 3, 2026 Lotto 6/49 draw. He says he’s been playing the lottery on and off since he turned 18 and he usually plays Lotto 6/49 or Lotto Max.

Forrest also always adds Encore to his tickets. He was delighted to share the news of his first major win. “I found out I was a winner when I scanned my ticket using the ticket checker at the store,” he recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings.

“I thought maybe the scanner was broken when I first saw the prize amount. I asked the store clerk to validate my ticket, and the lottery terminal froze. It turns out it was real — I had won $100,000!

I was so excited and happy!” “I immediately started messaging my wife to tell her I won the lottery,” Forrest said with a smile. “At first, she thought I was messing with her.

Once she realized I was serious, she was thrilled for me. We later shared the news with our family, who were just as excited.” He plans to use the money to take a trip to Japan, invest and save.

“It’s a great feeling to have won $100,000 with OLG,” concluded Forrest. “This prize will help with our future and make life more comfortable.” The winning ticket was purchased at Rosswell Convenience on Rosswell Drive in Courtice.
