Granum set to host annual gospel jamboree

There’s plenty of room at the table next weekend in Granum. “Room at the Table” is the theme of the annual Willow Creek Gospel Jamboree, which runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 17-19. The Willow Creek Gospel Music Jamboree was founded in 1997 in Granum with the mission of spreading the gospel through music while creating a gathering place for people of Christian heritage, according to the Web site.

From its beginnings, the event brought communities together through shared faith and musical expression. The jamboree has also provided an important platform for emerging Christian artists, offering them opportunities to develop their talents and reach wider audiences. This vision was guided and supported by honourary president Fran Hanson, whose leadership helped shape the jamboree’s early direction and growth.

Over time, the event has continued to evolve but remains rooted in gospel music and community fellowship. The 2026 weekend features four concerts, a youth event, and an interdenominational church service under a big tent in Granum’s park. The jamboree gets under way at 7 p.m. Friday, July 17 with a 7 p.m. concert featuring Joyful Melody, Gospel Echoes and The Daae Family.

At 8:15 p.m. Friday there is a youth event led by Tehillah Worship. The Saturday morning concert gets under way at 10 a.m. with performances by Gospel Echoes, The Daae Family and Joyful Melody. The Saturday afternoon concert gets under way at 1 p.m. with praise and worship led by Monarch Reformed Church.

The concert will feature performances by Elliot Fleck, The Daae Family, Joyful Melody and Gospel Echoes. At 5 p.m. a beef on a bun supper will be served at the Homesteader. The Saturday evening concert starts at 7 p.m. featuring Joyful Melody, Gospel Echoes and The Daae Family.

The interdenominational church service is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, with praise and worship led by the Cheyenne Neufeld Praise Team. That is followed by a sermon by Pastor Daniel Zepoula.
