Premier Doug Ford joined other dignitaries in Windsor Thursday for a ground-breaking ceremony to launch construction of the Fancsy Family Hospital. Windsor Regional Hospital CEO Kristin Kennedy also attended the long-awaited event, which starts the construction countdown for the new mega hospital on what was formerly farmland at 9th Concession and Cabana Road. Dignitaries gathered at the nearby Ciociaro Club for remarks, given the area’s poor air quality, before making their way to the site to put ceremonial shovels in the ground.

Speakers include Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens, Leamington Mayor Hilda MacDonald, MPP for Windsor–Tecumseh Andrew Dowie, Windsor Regional Hospital CEO Kristin Kennedy and others. More to come.
