Maple Ridge RCMP will be holding a free cycling safety event for the whole family. The event will be taking place at Blamey Hamlet Park, 13712 230A St., Maple Ridge, where the Family and Youth Resource Team (FYRST), will be on hand, in addition to other partners. They are asking the public to bring their bikes and helmets to the event and participate in hands-on safety activities and learn some tips.
Event activities include a Bike Safety Zone with hands‐on bike safety education, a pump track obstacle course, and Trek Bikes will offering bike maintenance tips and tricks. The city’s recreation team will also be on-deck with information about upcoming events and programs to keep people busy all summer long. Bicycle tune-up support will also be offered.
“This event is designed to help riders of all ages build confidence, stay safe, and keep their bikes in tip top shape all summer long,” said the City of Maple Ridge online.
