Pedestrian taken to hospital in critical condition after collision in Surrey Published 9:25 am Thursday, July 16, 2026 A pedestrian was transported to hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle late Wednesday night (July 15) in Surrey. RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) responded to the crash near the intersection of 108 Avenue and 142 Street around 11:56 p.m.

The pedestrian, a man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Police said the driver remained on scene and is cooperating. “The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) attended the scene to assist with the examination of the collision scene, and SPOSU’s Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation,” Surrey Police said in a news release Thursday (July 15). Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area of 108 Avenue and 142 Street shortly before midnight on July 15, 2026, and witnessed the collision or has either dashcam footage or CCTV footage to contact Surrey Police Service’s non-emergency number 604-599-0502 and quote file 26-22639 (SU).
