Those looking for family fun or a classic carnival experience in the region should look no further than The Aud’s ‘Midway at The Aud’ event this weekend. Having begun on Thursday, the midway will remain open until 11 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, and 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 12. Organizers say the event will feature all the carnival classics, including rides for both young kids and older adults looking for a proper thrill.

As for treats and eats, listed items include fries, chicken tenders, hand dipped corn dogs, hot dogs and freshly-squeezed lemonade. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, the midway will feature vendors for candy floss, popcorn, ice cream, candy apples and funnel cakes. On their release for the event, the City of Kitchener says the midway harkens back to the Aud’s origins, saying the midway is “a nod to the kind of community events the venue welcomed in its early years”.

2026 marks the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium’s 75th anniversary. Entry to the event is free to all attendees, with individual tickets and all day passes for rides available for purchase on-site. Check out all the details about Midway at The Aud on the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium’s website.
